We see with our minds not our eyes. Our senses only communicate the clues to the brain.
“I like to have a thing suggested rather than told in full. When every detail is given, the mind rests satisfied, and imagination loses the desire to use its own wings”
Thomas Bailey Aldrich (1836-1907)
The idea of sensory perception has led me to question of how our minds fill in the gaps. We live in a world of codes and languages, visual and literal. The clues are all around us and using our experiences we bring our own interpretation.
The objects represented are more than 10 times their actual size and are integral parts of the Millennium Point complex. By changing the scale of an object I am interested to see if it can still be recognized.
