Anne Hargreaves graduated from Birmingham Institute of Visual Arts in July 2002. She received a BA in Art & Design with First Class Honours.
“Before returning to study my working experience was with the YMCA and the Benefits Agency. In October 2002 I began working with free@last in Nechells, Birmingham. It was here that I discovered how to combine my creative skills with a desire to support community based organisations.”

Artist’s Statement
As an artist my work focuses on exploring concepts of life through social interaction using photography, film and text.
Throughout the journey of life we collect things: experiences, memories, possessions, relationships. These things are what create our personality. It is our memories and experiences that make each one of us who we are. My work is developed from an interest in how we perceive our surroundings through those unique experiences.
